TThe "Musik Gesamtausgabe" is – in contrast to the "Musik Gesamtwerk" – the sheet music that summarizes Bach's music. The above add-on is the so-called "Alte" Musik Gesamtausgabe (... "Old Music Edition ... however it's a German wordplay, almost not to explain and translate into English). In the original, these are 50 volumes of paper, of which only a few copies still exist. They are photographed by Peter and me in Leipzig. The "Alte Bach Gesamtausgabe" differs only insignificantly from the "Neue Bach Gesamtausgabe" as far as the content is concerned. However, the price difference is quite substantial. While the "Alte Bach Gesamtausgabe" is no longer protected by copyright, the new one will be for a very long time. In the meantime, even the "Revised New Complete Edition" is being created, and it is ... simply ... unaffordable. Of course, you get this add-on "only" as PDF and not on paper.
